Jan – Apr ’07 – Top 10 Bollywood Flicks !

Some good one and some real bad ones got released in the bolly land in the first 4 months of this year ! As usual, quantity ruled over quality, but then that is what Bollywood is all about. Just a quick look at the top 10 I personally believe that got released in the first quarter of 2007. (Some of them might not have been personally viewed due to time constrain, but due to the reviews and success, they seemed worthy of being on the list). Enjoy !

10. Nishabd – Amitabh Bachchan, Jiah Khan

Pros: Performances

Cons: Limited scope in storyline

9. Undertrial – Rajpal Yadav

Pros: Rajpal Yadav, Gripping storyline

Cons: Lacks commercial appeal

8. Honeymoon Travels Pty. Ltd. – Kay Kay, Abhay Deol, Shabana Azmi, Boman Irani

Pros: Fun Movie, Easy on the eyes and entertaining stuff

Cons: Too many interesting stories in one movie, More like a soap

7. Traffic Signal – Kunal Khemu, Neetu Chandra

Pros: Different and untried story setup, Performances, well presented

Cons: More like a documentary than a movie

6. Eklavya – the Royal Guard – Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali, Boman Irani

Pros: Rajastani setup, Performances, gripping storyline

Cons: Gets too intense

5. The Namesake: Irfan Khan, Tabu

Pros: Close to reality, Great performances

Cons: Could have been shorter

4. Ta Ra Rum Pum: Saif Ali, Rani Mukherjee

Pros: Screen family performances, Car racing scenes

Cons: Music

3. Namaste London: Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif

Pros: Close to heart story, Entertaining stuff

Cons: Drags for a while

2. Black Friday – Kay Kay

Pros: Amazing direction, Bold topic to potray

Cons: Extremely violent

And the Number ONE is:

GURU

*ing – Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai

Pros: Abhishek’s performance, Mani Ratnam’s Direction, AR Rehman’s Music, Almost everything

Cons: None that I can think of
